Hello nellina,
Basically you need to choose the category of the primary language in the theme option panel. And then create a new corresponding category for the other language as well. Now you need to choose the respective category for the respective language post. It is the way how it works. Yes we have already changed the slider js for all slider. We used bxSlider in previous but now it replaced by lightslider. And also we have changed the widget title tag h1 to h4.

In free version, only admin can recieve the notification but in pro version you set upto 3 email along with the admin email for the notification.

Please update your theme to the latest version and check if the slider issues still persists or not?
Regarding the theme footer , you must be pointing to the theme name. If so then you need to upgrade to pro version to remove it or can use our child theme to code customize :
