We can use the following instruction.

Go to Dashboard > Appearance > Widgets
Add ‘AP: Toggle’ widget to ‘Toggle Section’ widget sidebar.
Enter the title for the Toggle in ‘Toggle Title:’ field.
Enter the contents for the Toggle in ‘Toggle Content:’ field.
Set ‘Toggle Status:’ option to ‘open’ if you want to show Toggle in Open State in Home page else Set the option to ‘close’ if you want the Toggle in Closed State in Home page.
Click on ‘Save’ button.

If you have used the code in child theme then the update version wont affect your theme.

But if you have used it in theme then the update version will affect it.
