    thanks. im not completely sure its a youtube problem. the videos work fine when you go straight to the source. i tried their forums, not much help. the problem also extends to videos ive embedded from other sites as well. i have a feeling its my site and its settings. size of embedding video, something like that…

    thanks for the reply. Sorry i wasnt clear, i didnt mean the static picture that is given to you when you havent pressed on the video, i meant the video picture while it was playing. Also i think lagging was lack of a better word of describing whats happening. then again im not sure if its my computer.

    but for me whats happening while playing is at certain points the picture would freeze, the sound goes on with no problem and then the picture starts again in time with the sound but obviously skipping a second. its annoying. doesnt seem to happen for firefox tho.

    haha, so i’ve finally found the answer…its very simple for those who have the same problem.

    instead of {height:100px; overflow:visible}

    Change to {height:auto; overflow:visible}

    ahh bloody coding! now i can go to bed….

    Hi Henkholland!

    Thanks for putting in the effort to answer my question. i didnt work out the search button part of it but i was thinking of moving that somewhere else entirely anyway. For the background, i didnt use the exact codes you gave me but it was very good in reminding me of how to do it, must of slipped my mind when i tried the first time, i ended up doing this:

    #left-col { float:left; display:inline; margin:0 0 0 5px; background:#333 none repeat scroll 0 0 ; width:619px; height: 1503px;

    i basically just adjusted the height and width.

    As for the padding, worked perfectly, thanks. And i know what you mean when you said it will never go to the bottom, so ive decided (when i find the time) to open that footer image and re-draw it so theres no spaces.

    Thanks again!

    Hi Creamore, the above is from left to right, did you end up centering it?
