installed wordpress in another folder and created a site there using 2.8.2 and the template drop down shows up in there. So I went ahead an replace all the core files of wp with those new files and still nothing. I’m thinking that its a database issue.. which I don’t anything about really, just how to back it up.

In reply to: template pages not showing in dropdown listwell I downgraded wordpress to 2.8.1 and the same thing and then down to 2.8 and still had the same thing. I could have sworn that there was a drop down menu for the template’s on the main edit screen, but it is lost now. :/

Since I upgraded to 2.8.2 the template option doesn’t even show up in the regular edit.

In reply to: [Plugin: NextGEN Gallery] Flash uploader not working after patchnope, what happens is it flashes a login screen really quickly, right where the upload form is and then goes back to the normal upload form and says this:
0 picture(s) successfully added
but when I switch to, disable flash upload, then it works fine. I don’t know if something changed with the latest update with NextGEN and it having some compatibility issues with WordPress 2.8.2 That’s the only thing I can think of.

In reply to: moved within site, getting errorslooks like this got corrupted when i transfered it:
/home/admin/public_html/wp-content/plugins/nextgen-gallery/widgets/widgets.php:989so i found the original and copied over that file and worked. had a couple other errors that were similar but followed the same steps and worked for me.

thanks, i didnt even think about that. what i did is make a page template and add “Template Name: whatever name” to the first <?php section. After that, i just took out the title code and selected the template page when i edit the homepage. hope this helps anyone else out.-jeff
