Yesterday I was finally able to solve the problem. Turns out the problem was actually with the theme I used, I just had to reinstall it.
I don’t know why the operator error didn’t appear when I only deactivated NextGen, but at least NextGen and everything else works now.Regardless, thank you for help. Have a nice day!

I haven’t contacted the hosting provider for the exact reason you talked about: It doesn’t sound like it’s related to the plugin and it only occurs when the plugin is DEactivated, and I would very much NEED the plugin activated.
It’s a tattoo saloon’s site with hundreds of pictures in several galleries, client’s decide whether to get a tattoo there or not based on these pictures so it’s extremely important that the plugin is activated AND works properly. But it doesn’t, it gives the operator error when I try to edit a page, and that’s the issue.
If I solve the HTTP error but the operator error persists (chances are it would) then I’m still not done.
