I have the solution!!
In your root directory, KEEP the index.php file.
RENAME your index.html (splash page) to default.html and upload to the root directory.
I believe your WordPress Theme will change the font style in your html file so you may need to go back in and re-code some HTML but IT WORKS!

If I download my index.php files from my host via filezilla and open it with notepad then my HTML coding appears. But I don’t know where/how to find it through WP editor.
