if you on Godaddy, contact them, cause its host problem

Plugin can check update if i search some plugin in add new plugin first and back again to dashboard and hit Updates menu, and all plugin that need update show up.
try to check Readme installation file for Geoplace, may be need more some file for its like javascript files.
if your old host cpanel and still have access then make backup from cpanel after complete, download its and upload its to your new host, restore the backup through cpanel
