• Hi,

    Just wondering if someone could walk me through how the youtube-brackets plugin works. Let’s say I’ve written my post and I’m ready to add the video. What do I do?

    Thanks very much.

  • while you are waiting for an answer, youtube is pretty easy. there is an embed code feature right on their viewing screen. i keep this code on hand and substitute the url. you can also dial in the size.

    i just paste this in the “code mode” when writing the post.

    <object height="355" width="425">
    <param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/cMNW51-RmwU&amp;rel=1"></param>
    <param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><ibed type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355"></ibed>

    To add to the previous solution, I found that Youtube doesn’t work too well with the theme I am using – it threw out the sidebar and otherwise messed up the pages. To fix this I installed the Anarchy Media Player and the videos work fine now.

    Thanks very much, Ron and Xavier. I’ll try this out.

    I believe i gave you code that cause some validation errors. This should be error free…

    <object type="application/x-shockwave-flash" style="width:300px; height:247px;" data="http://www.youtube.com/v/OZbTXDkrD1o"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/OZbTXDkrD1o" /></object>
