I had to revert back to version 3.5 after some issues with the last update for Yoast a couple of weeks back. Is it safe to update without any major bugs?

  • Hi @jlyman,

Thank you for reaching out! We apologize if you had any issues with the previous 14.x releases on your site.

Our indexables release (14.0) is a major update and did change quite a bit in how we store and receive Yoast data in your database. In some occasions, there were some compatibility issues where plugins that integrate with us haven’t updated their code.

What we would suggest is testing our 14.2 release in a staging environment of your site. A lot of web hosts offer this functionality and this way you can run the update and test it out on your staging copy without interfering with your live site. If you are not sure how to create a staging site, please speak to your host.

We are going ahead and marking this issue as resolved due to inactivity. If you require any further assistance please create a new issue.
