Hi

I had Yoast SEO already installed for a while. It randomly uninstalled itself and now when I try to re install it it comes up with this…

Installation failed: destination folder already exists.

Any ideas how I re install Yoast SEO?

Hi Edwina,

Sorry to hear that there was a problem during the update. It’s not clear why the update didn’t complete successfully, but the files are still on the server.

In cases like this, we recommend reinstalling the plugin manually using SFTP. You can find the steps here: How to manually update a Yoast plugin using FTP. Deleting and reinstalling the plugin doesn’t delete your SEO settings or data from the database.
