• hello kids and comrades

I am another one of those people who cannot seem to get the images sorted out.

no matter what I do I get thumbnail size, and that is all.

I have tried right clicking in selecting the original size option, whatever it’s called.

I have also tried dragging images into the post/page

I have even tried resizing the image, but quality goes to hell.

so I am wondering is this a bug, is there a workaround, am I crazy and insane,am I insane, but there is still a bug, which prevents this from working properly, unrelated to my insanity ?

is this the reason why I do not have a girlfriend ?

so many questions, but wait, let me get back to focus!

do not worry about the girlfriend thing all figured out on my own, but can someone help me with this image size issue?

    thanks
    Gerard

I’m having the same problem using WordPress 2 without the WYSIWYG editor. The fix is to insert the graphic without the thumbnail, then edit the IMG tag to remove the height attribute.

It appears to be a bug to me that the No Thumbnail option still specifies a thumbnail-sized height.

I’m still looking for a fix for the bug. If anyone has a solution, let me know.

@gmantasic – what happens when you LEFT-click on the image, after uploading it?

Should be a little menu popping up…

Are you adding the image via clicking on the actual image in Browse All Images field? It took me forever to figure out that the text displayed there was an actual set of buttons that toggled different results on clicking the first two shown:

    Using Thumbnail (- Using Original)
Not Linked (- Linked to Image)
    Send to Editor
    Delete
    Close Options

    Could that be it?

It took me a while to sort these issues out so I just installed the Sodelind image manager. It is so much better and my life is now much less complicated!

How about using the Iimage Browser plugin? You can set the thumbnail size at upload time and set a different thumbnail size for each upload if you want. You can get it at:

I get the same result using the Using Thumbnail or Using Original option from the menu. Both insert a height attribute that creates a thumbnail-sized graphic.

I had used IImage Browser, but I kinda like the idea of storing image info (like descriptions) in the database.

(Note that I had to hack the IImage Browser plugin to point to the correct default folder.)

If anyone has a fix for the WP bug, let me know
