• On my site, rodaw.com, running on wordpress on a Linux CentOS image at vps.net for a couple years (currently wp version 3.1.1) I have recently been experiencing difficulty publishing posts created off line with Windows Live writer 2011.

I can successfully upload posts using wlw with very small images. However posts with not unreasonably large images that I have previously posted successfully now fail.

In php.ini I have set “upload_max_filesize = 8M” which is larger than than the troublesome images size.

As a test online in Dashboard I created a post with this same troublesome image uploaded via the online compose. Uploaded and placed in a test post successfully. What might the differences be in the online posting vs: the offline wlw post?

I have successfully posted the same content to a .NET Orchard CMS using the same wlw and post / images. Apparently focusing the problem on the linux and/or wordpress configuration.

What other settings might I check? and/or trouble shooting techniques to investigate?

    Additional information.

I made another post. Same site. Same wlw. Same camera. Same image size. When I included the image in the post using wlw the image was switched automagicaly by the image insert of wlw from landscape to portrait. This post published!

    What! ???

I’m bracing myself to be informed of some bonehead thing I missed. Meanwhile I’m confused.
