XML parsing failed error

    Would someone please help. I’m trying to export my site from W.P. 2.9.1 so that I can upgrade. When exporting it fails and I get the following error message:
    ” XML parsing failed

    XML parsing failed: syntax error (Line: 98113, Character: 25)

    Reparse document as HTML
    Error:
    well-formedness constraint: entity declared

    Specification:

    There are thousands of post on the site and it is critical that I export this for import into the updated installation. Can someone tell me how to fix this?

    Problem solved. Installed the plug in “Better Delete Revision”. It removed 7500+ entries and WordPress backed up without a any problems.
