WPL Carousel not showing

    I’m want to place the WPL Carousel widget in my home page to show featured properties. I allotted a widget area for it. I have already marked three listings as ‘featured’ in specialties. However, I can’t see any property output. Changing the layout though shows the following:

    * Default – Just the title of the widget (which I have set to “Featured Properties”)
    * List – Also just the title.
    * Modern – The title plus the word “Loading” below. It also has a large space below which is most probably the container for the carousel.
    * Multi-Images – The title and a blank container below.

    As for the widget, here are the following properties I have changed. Others are set at its default value.

    * Title – Featured Properties
    * Target Page – Home
    * Only Featured – Yes
    * Number of Properties – 3

    I’m using WPL Basic v2.8.0. Could someone help me out?

    I tried showing the featured properties in a test post using the WPL shortcode. It worked. Just want to test if there really are featured properties.

    I also placed other widgets in my home widget area to see if widgets could be placed there. Yes, the ones I’ve placed were shown.

    Just want to say here that WPL Carousel has the problem, and I still can’t solve it.

    Four hours after, I know now what the problem is:
    My listings have no images.

    The WPL Carousel only works properly if the listings have images.

    Hope this info could help in the further improvement of the widget. Even if the listing has no image, there should be a placeholder image courtesy of WPL.

    Hi,

    Thanks for your feedback.
    We will check to see if it’s possible to add a place holder instead of images in the carousel widget but generally, main item of a carousel widget is the image so it’s hard to imagine a feature listings carousel without any image.

    I have the same problem with wp 4.5.2 and Avada 3.9.3
    I have some images on my listings but the carousel is not displayed in the widget area whatever the options

    Hi,

    Please check the filter options of carousel widget. If carousel couldn’t find any property to show, it shows nothing. Also please make sure your listings are confirmed, finalized and not trashed.
