wpg2 integration with wordpress

I am hoping someone that has successfully integrated wpg2 into their wordpress installation can help me.
I installed wordpress manually and it’s working fine. I installed wpg2 as well. Gallery2 was installed via fantastico and it is working.
Wpg2 has been activated and validated in wordpress.
I checked the configuration and it says gallery2 is at http://www.valmg.com/gallery2/ which works and it says the gallery2 embed page is at http://www.valmg.com/wp-gallery2.php which doesn’t work.
I want wpg2 to be embedded into the wordpress so it matches everything else. Can someone point me in the right direction on how to fix this please?
I have been searching but haven’t found any posts that help.
