Wp_list _comments issure

    well i was using wp_list_comments function for listing comments , the problem that i came across is that , the comments are listed in monthly order but dont not take year in consideration, for e.g.
    a comment was made in year 2008 sept 5 and another on 2009 aug 5 and another on 2010 dec 5 , the comments are listed as below , where in dicussion the option is set to list older comments first .

    2009 aug 5
    2008 sept 5
    2010 dec 5

    when changed to list latest comments first – it works fine
