WP Write Permissions?

    I can’t Upload Pictures, Avatars, Can’t Install Plugins (It asks me for FTP info), Can’t Write and save WP Wikis, Cant REALLY do anything in WordPress because it doesn’t have write permissions!

    I tried CHMOD 777 on Public_HTML and WWW. I also 777 wp-content and the folders in there (plugins, uploads, and themes).

    Still Nothing. I have PHP5 Safe mode OFF and I am on a dedicated server running WHM and CPanel 11.

    What Do I do?

    you or your host need to make sure you as owner have the correct server permissions
    this is a server issue – not wordpress

    I have the same issue. Made the proper folders writable and it still didn’t work. I havn’t looked into it too much because I got it to work still. Enter your FTP information and it should work.

    Hostname: localhost
    FTP Username
    FTP Password

    That works for me on a virtual dedicated server
