Wp-to-WP Import

Can you see your posts in the admin > Manage > Posts subpanel?

That means you did not import them.

It means the import files couldn’t be uploaded and put in the right directory. Most likely a permissions problem on the directory that doesn’t let the webserver write to it. I think the Codex has some info and setting the permissions for the upload directory.

If memory serves me, a chmod 775 on wp-content might do the trick

Another problem solved – Thanks to moshu who dug up the Codex entry. I really should bookmark that entry as it is the answer to a lot of problems and not just an import issue either.
