• TO whom it may concern,
i am new to WordPress and just installed WP Supercache. After the installation this warning appeared, and even though i have read through the forum, i am unable to understand the practical steps i should take to resolve this issue.
Thanks to anybody who may be able to help, and please excuse my newbie ignorance.

    “Warning! /home/content/…../html/wp-content is writeable!

You should change the permissions on /home/content/…../html/wp-content and make it more restrictive. Use your ftp client, or the following command to fix things:chmod 755 /home/content/…./html/wp-content/”

  • I am getting the same problem, and I tried fixing it, it is not changing. Also my widgets, when I do any changes they are not loading up unless I sign out of WP and back in. That is a bad. Did you resolve your issues and how if I may ask?
Thanks for your input, Randa Kassisieh

If you know your permissions are ok then ignore it or dive into the code and maybe figure out why the error message is shown. I’d love to hear why too! You have the source code 🙂

Your widgets won’t refresh until you clear the cache, there isn’t a hook AFAIR that I can use to clear the cache so this problem won’t be fixed.
