WP & htaccess insanity
-
I need some help from the WordPress installation gurus out there.
I’ve just installed WordPress to the root directory of my hosting site, under public_html.
The gotcha is that they have a spanish version of their site in a ‘es/’ directory that is not part of WordPress but still in public_html.For some reason, WordPress will always redirect to the homepage when trying to access ‘es/’. I’ve tried every trick on every blog without success. The big kicker is that other non-WP directories will work. For instance, I’ve moved the old site to a another directory, which still works, but again, ‘es/’ fails.
Anyone have the answer in their back pocket?
URLs:
http://americancuttingedge.com
http://americancuttingedge.com/es (redirects to home)
http://americancuttingedge.com/old-site (the old site)
http://americancuttingedge.com/old-site/es (redirects to home. Suspicious!)
