    Hi.

So, short I was trying to copy my site content to another folder for tests, duplicated a database and kept having weird issues until I realized something really odd. Changing anything in wp-config, even deleting it does not make any difference. It seems like the file has been cached somewhere but I cannot see how and why. I disabled quickCache, cleared the cache, tried everything and still nothing. Anyone have any idea of why this could be ?

    Thanks
    -Aurel

    or
    http://www.dystalgia.com
    or

either one, problem is on all of them.

    Oh, and more details.
Well that’s about it. Changing DB name, username or anything in any of the wp-config files does not seem to have any effect, wordpress still uses the original settings. I do not know when this problem came up as I have not changed the file in over an year.

As I can see there is no caching plugin installed on your site.

I disabled any cache plugin. So I’m a bit puzzled and don’t know what to do to change a database.
    Thanks

    What was the plugin?

    Quick Cache

It seems working, can you kindly add a new blog entry and check whether the age got refreshed or not.

I don’t know what you mean by age. I added a new post and it appeared even if the wp-config points to another database.

    Got it.
I removed the use wp-cahce define in the config file and now seems to be working. Very strange because earlier deleting the whole config file did not do anything.

Thanks a lot for the help.
    Cheers
