    OK…. please don’t pig-pile on the newbie…

    1) I downloaded 2.2 and unzipped the files
    2) I retyped the relevant info into the “config-sample” file and re-saved as “config.php”
    3) Uploaded all files to the ftp server (hosted by GoDaddy) into the “php uploads” folder

    ISSUE:

When I try to open the “/wp-admin/install.php” folder it does not open inside the browser window…

It launches the “Picture It” program and tries to open it there.

What I am I doing wrong.

    Thanks for patience and help

  • You should just upload WordPress to the web-root folder. If you are using GoDaddy’s FTP client that will be the folder that is first displayed on the right side when the FTP client opens.
