WP-Admin Text only

    Hi, when I logon to my WordPress Admin site it is only displaying in blue text and I can’t do anything from there. The website is still accessable but whenever I try to customise the site or edit a page from the site I get a 404 error Page not Found. The site is hosted on Crazy Domains and their support thinks our PHP is out of date. Any assistance appreciated. Regards Rob

    If you already had contact with the hosting support, what was done about the outdated PHP version? The hoster should make you suggestions for updating. WordPress currently runs ideally with PHP 7.4 or 8.0, your plugins should also be up to date.

    Yes I have spoken to our hosting support in Australia, they advised me to contact WordPress support in order to update the PHP version which is currently V5.1, they think that may be causing our problem.
    Do you think I need to contact them again to complete this update, I can’t do it from WP-Admin because it is text only I can’t do anything from there.

    I don’t understand. Your hoster provides PHP as well as other services so that WordPress can run. Your hoster must also be able to update PHP for you. WordPress can do nothing at all.

    The version 5.1 is extremely old. Currently you should use 7.4 or 8.0 for WordPress. Please contact the support of your hoster with this information and ask them to set this for you in their systems.
