wp admin not showing up right

    I originally had my server on windows (mistake i know) so i asked my host company to switch me to Linus, and they did but since the switch my dashboard does not work right . I have tried over righting the WP directories directly and that did not resolve it. Looking at the dashboard it says that widgets need java script to work. How do you enable JavaScript on a server any help will be appreciated

    As far as I’m aware WP doesn’t use server side javascript, so what you need to do is enable Javascript in your web-browser. But that will only work if all of your files were transferred correctly, and they may not have been. What do you mean when you say you tried to overwrite directly? Were you using clean WP files or files from the old server?

    I was using the files from the zip file that you download. I then ftped them to the server with the option to overwrite them. I have javascript enabled on my browser and other sites that use javascrpt works.
