wp-admin not found 404

    Hello
    I upgraded (manually) to 3.8 at the beginning of January and everything was fine. When I came to access the admin panel yesterday I got a 404 error. I then upgraded to 3.8.1 (manually again!) following the instructions in the codex. Still no access!!

    The website is running and accessible but not updatable 🙁

    I’ve tried renaming the wp-content/plugins and wp-content/themes but nothing doing. I’ve downloaded and FTPd the twenty eleven theme and replaced that.
    I’ve tried renaming the .htaccess file
    I’ve tried a different browser.
    I’ve tried typing /wp-admin/index.php and wp-login.
    I’ve been into c-panel but can’t see anything to help me there.

    Anyone got any suggestions??

    Many hosts experienced problems due to mass attacks recently and may have limited access to wp-admin and/or wp-login.php as a result. Your hosts may be one of them. Try contacting them about it.

    Thank esmi I’ve raised a question with them to see what happens.
