  • Have you tried clearing your browser’s cache and DNS cache?

I have tried that. I have also tried using Firefox in the private browsing mode. It does not seem to help.

In this case, should I disable all the plugins of all the different sites at the same time? All the sites seem to be having this problem.

Still no luck with this issue. Any ideas?

Hi there! Still have not been able to solve this. Any ideas?

Are you sure you don’t have any security related plugins active?

Can you visit your login through a proxy like http://anonymouse.org/ ?

The last item that typically causes this is password protection setup on the wp-admin folder without specifying “ErrorDocument 401 default” in there.

    Hi!

I tried accessing the login using anonymouse.org but I still can’t access it. Smo times it did give me a 404 instead of the redirect error though.

Did your host make any system level changes due to WordPress attacks, such as limiting access to these pages?

I have not done any changes. I have had an incident a few weeks ago when some of the permissions were changed. I did not do that. I changed them back and the sites worked OK for a while. I did suspect that something strange is happening. Maybe I have been hacked?

I have contacted the hosting company but they can’t figure this out either. It’s probably not a priority for them anyway.

I’ve struggled with troubleshooting a wp-admin redirect loop for the past week. I found that there was a php.ini file in the wp-admin directory that shouldn’t have been there. Here are the details of what I found: http://victorfont.com/fix-wp-multisite-wp-admin-redirect-loop/

I just found I had an .htaccess file within wp-admin that was only allowing certain IP address access. My current IP was not on the file. Once I corrected that, all my redirect errors stopped.
