Working with Themes

    When I am looking for a theme, I will be attracted to one because of the ‘look’. Not the literal artwork, but as an example the shape of a widget, or that the theme supports a slide show for the static page.

    But when I install the theme and open it, it doesn’t look like the one in the gallery, and therefore I cannot go into the dashboard and see how it was configured originally.

    What Am I missing (besides the boat?

    Every theme in the WP theme repository also has a designated support sub-forum. TryAny question abou any theme, try asking the theme author in its support sub-forum

    Well the last two I was trying were not WP, and the author said no longer supporting on his page. Also I am looking at free themes.
    Maybe I can ask specific questions on the forum by showing the page I asking about
