wordpress.com posts in wordpress.org (only the posts)

I have a wordpress.com with an old url. I also have a wordpress.org with a new url.

I followed the steps here:

and it transferred all the media (pictures, et al) but it didn’t transfer any of the actual posts.

Would anyone help me actually transfer the posts into my wordpress.org site? The site is up and running (has been for several years) so its not a mirror copy of of the old site. I just want to merge the old posts into my new site.
