WordPress Wont Update

I am currently trying to update to 3.0.3 but it wont do it, it just gets to the process of:
Downloading update from http://wordpress.org/wordpress-3.0.3.zip…

and thats it.
Same thing happened with 3.0.2, I ended up doing it manually which I prefer not to do as the downtime of the site is greater when doing it manually.

I tried deleting the upgrade dir and recreating it with chmod 777 but that didnt do the trick.
I have had this problem since 3.0 just hoping that maybe one of the updates would actually resolve it.

By the way the hosting server uses php5

If i put another worpress site in the same server, it will update just fine without problems.

Any advice would be great 🙂
