    After installing wordpress at localhost using WAMP i am getting error

    Warning: An unexpected error occurred. Something may be wrong with WordPress.org or this server’s configuration. If you continue to have problems, please try the support forums. (WordPress could not establish a secure connection to WordPress.org. Please contact your server administrator.) in C:\wamp\www\wordpress\wp-includes\update.php on line 295

    WordPress is really slow because of this error.

    Have you checked your computer’s firewall to ensure it isn’t blocking the communication attempts.

    Try downloading a fresh copy of WordPress files and then replace the current update.php C:\wamp\www\wordpress\wp-includes\update.php with the new one and try again.
