• I cannot use my wordpress folders to store jpg for site logo now.

I created tried old logos in the uploads files and they no longer work.

I created a new file in the public_htm folder and it does not work. When I copy the URL for the logo into a browser I get error 404 and cannot find the files with a browser.

This worked in v3.0.0 a few weeks ago with my theme. I called my hosting company and they said it was a wordpress problem.

Is it a security or cookie problem? I use Safari and block cookies after I log on my admin page.

    Thanks

  • directly loading jpg’s in your browser shouldn’t be a cookie problem.

With out looking at your site I’d say the problem is with folder permissions on the server. Have a look at http://codex.wordpress.org/Changing_File_Permissions for details and how to change your permissions

    Thank you,

Permissions are 755 for this file. So I went and looked at the themes and found a typo in file path. Had left out /theme file/ in the middle of the url.

You got me to the right answer.!
