How many plugins are you running? Is it any faster if you disable them all? How about if you revert to the default theme?
If eith of the above makes a difference, re-enable the theme & plugins one-by-one to discover if one of them is causing the slow-down.
Or it could be the server which is running slow, in which case your hosting company might have to do the old turn-it-off-and-back-on trick.

I’m only running one plug-in – WP e-commerce. Disabling it does nothing… neither does the default theme.
I’ve called the host… no dice. They say everything is great on their end, but they can see how slow it is running by going to the site. It goes back and forth. Last night it was horrid… and then it was fine… and now back to semi-slow…
I’ve figured it out – it is in fact a plugin… It’s WP E-Commerce.
