WordPress Static and Dynamic Pages

    I’m trying to add a image gallery to my wordpress website. It is a photography site and I want to have the photo album on the static page that is seperate from the actual blog. How do I go about doing that? Or more like how do I add dynamic content to a static page

    Is the static page a WordPress page, or is it completely separate from WordPress? Just want to be sure how you have it set up.

    Yea it’s a WordPress page.

    Are you using a plugin for you gallery, or the built in WordPress gallery feature?

    Most gallery plugins have a shortcode that you can enter in the content for your home page that would point to the correct gallery. If you add or remove images from the gallery collection, the home page would automatically be updated too.

    The built in WordPress gallery can also easily be placed on your home page. You would have to update the shortcode manually though as it lists the image numbers in the shortcode. So updating the images in the gallery won’t automatically update the shortcode.
