WordPress SEO and double title

Hi everybody

I am trying to help the misses optimizing her site for Google and experienced a few issues. Hope someone has an idea how to solve these challenges.
1) I discovered that the work done in wordpress SEO apparently did not show up on google, so I decided to troubleshoot and found:

2) that on google the blog name is repeted in the title, as seen here in the first 3 hits A few days ago i disconnected all the plugins (all but Disqus), deleted the title and description in the settings. I hoped that this might help me figure out where the problems arised, but so far nothing has changed. Am I just running out of patience to fast, and should I give google some more time to crawl the site?

Does anybody have suggestions on how to solve these issues?
