WordPress MU No Super Admin Panel
-
Hey, so i thought i would begin to use WPmu, as i have around 6 websites now and hosting 6 independent WP websites is not only a pain, but also less resourceful so i thought i’d add them all to one. I’ve been using PW for a few years now.
I followed the guide to the grid, on installing WPmu properly.
Now, I’m not sure if there has been a change and that the Super Admin menu doesn’t exist anymore, but i don’t have one, however i do have some of the Super admin menu items, Such as the “Network admin” area at the top right, where i can control all sub domains etc.I don’t however, have the Super Admin panel on the left side, that i have seen in video and image tutorials. (Was it removed recently?).
I have properly installed the .htaccess code, wp-config code (not it is not below the do not configure line) and added the blog.dir with proper permissions, and mod_rewrite is enabled (i think this is a must for any wordpress install anyway).
What i can see:
- Network Admin link (top right)
Sites Panel (on left, within Network Admin – including Sites, Add site)
Settings > Network Setup, Domain Mapping, Domains. (2 latter added with domain plugin)
Updates > Update Network
However, no Super admin menu. I can still control elements of sub sites as if i were a super admin though.
So is something out of place, is there suppose to be a super admin panel or has it been removed?
