All I can say is that wordpress is f***ing amazing. Pardon my language, but I love it. MoveableType was incredibly complicated, bad documentation, over bloated, slow, gah. Can’t even describe how happy I am that I decided to switch.

I was about 10 inches away from buying a professional licence of moveable type, but now I’m going to donate that money to wordpress as soon as it enters my paypal account.

    Keep up the good work.

One thing that I miss, or atleast, don’t know how to do yet, is easily post to my “Recently Linked” list. In moveable type, I had a javascript code, I could just drag a link and it would get posted to my blog.

Anyone know what I’m talking about?

Hmm. There’s the “Press It” bookmarklet, you access that from the “write” page in the admin section.

I used to think WP is amazing but when I was reading the Codex just now, I came across this in the section entitled “Using Pages”.

Pages will not solve World Hunger (but may help you solve the problem).

What’s up with that? All that time and effort that goes into WP, it can’t even solve world hunger? I’m really disappointed now and have come to terms with the fact that WP isn’t so amazing after all. =)

It says Pages won’t solve it. Nothing there about WordPress as a whole.

That bookmarklet, is it possible to make it automatically post to a Link Manager list rather then the general blog.

Can’t help you on that one…. sorry!

There are two bookmarklets to use, one called PressIt and one called Link This. If you go down to the bottom of the Add Link screen, you should find the one for adding links. It’s great!
