wordpress in a different directory then site – navigation problems

    Hello, I just installed wordpress for the first time and have customized the template to match my website.

    This is the structure of my website and blog:

    http://www.domain.com/website/
    http://www.domain.com/blog/

    When I am on the blog, everything works great.. But I want to be able to use the wordpress sidebar navigation features on the rest of my site… How can I accomplish this? I tried using an include to grab the same sidebar file that wordpress is pulling from but that doesn’t seem to work.

    I want to keep the blog and the website in separate folders.. can anyone help me with this??

    Have a look at the template used by the “website” page.

    If you furnish the correct URLs, the problem can be better understood.

    sorry for bumping, I have been trying to resolve this issue for hours, and I can’t figure it out..

    I don’t want to post the actual urls because the site is under construction at this point…

    basically, I want my static web pages to be able to use the WordPress sidebar navigation (even though I have wordpress installed in a different directory).

    so I want /website/index.html to have the same sidebar navigation as /wordpress/index.php

    Does this make sense?

    Here is a website that does something similar to what I want to do: http://blog.nuclearinternet.com/

    The sidebar navigation is the same no matter what directory you are in.. I am wanting to be able to achieve this so I can use the sidebar on the blog and the rest of my site..
