• Just a quick question, if I already have a website hosted with GoDaddy, do I have to also pay the annual fee to get a wordpress blog address that’s a direct link to my domain name? As opposed to a sub domain of wordpress.com?

My apologies in advance, I’m new to building and hosting websites and just didn’t want to get stuck paying a fee when it wasn’t necessary. Thanks for your time!

  • WordPress itself is free.

Many plugins and themes are paid, others are not.

Sounds like your asking if you need to buy another domain name. You can if you want but you can also install wordpress to a subdomain.

    example: yoursite.com/wordpress
