WordPress dynamic pages

Hi!

Is there a way a plugin could add pages with dynamic content to wordpress without displaying them in dashboard. For example, the plugin lets user to add books or movies to its database. The user would have to manually create a page, and put there a shortcode, [books] for example. Then if the person viewing this navigates to a subpage of that page, the plugin check, if there is a book with that title in the database. If there is, it will display its title and author in a normal page template. If not, a 404 error would be shown.
