My host will shortly be upgrading from MySQL 4.1 to 5.0. I just wanted to verify that WordPress v2.3.3 is not going to have problems with the updated table structure and break my blog post-upgrade.

    Thanks.

Other than the known issues with certain buggy versions of MySQL 5.0.51 (possibly 5.0.52 as well), WordPress works fine with MySQL 5.

However, make sure that you get a SQL dump/backup of the database before they do anything. Better to have a backup, just in case.

Thanks. I already did the backup as a “just in case” measure. =)
