wordpress.com vs wordpress.org

    I recently went through bluehost to create a blog website. I was told by numerous websites if I followed their links that it would create a wordpress.org website not a wordpress.com website so that I would have a bit more freedom on the blog. I want to use affiliate links and make money with my blog. But everything I am seeing indicates that I have wordpress.com instead. I am not very good with all things computer but want to have my blog be wordpress.org through bluehost instead before I get too much into the blog and have to transfer everything (since I am not good with that sort of thing). Can someone please help?

    what do you see that makes you think you have a wordpress.com site? What is your domain?

    The reason I think I have a wordpress.com site is that it takes me to wordpress.com to login to change things on my blog.

    This is the link I am taken to for admin:
    http://www.kruzingwithk9s.com/wp-login.php

    I am not real good with all the terms-what exactly is my domain?

    That site is at bluehost. You may have enabled the “login with your WordPress account” feature in the Jetpack plugin. If so, it has you login through wordpress.com. (I don’t exactly see the value of that. 🙂 )

    So do I have wordpress.org then or wordpress.com

    How can I tell the difference? Thanks for your help.

    You are using wordpress.org software on bluehost. You have configured your site to login through wordpress.com
