WordPress automatically creating a directory

i am using wordpress on hostgator with cpanel , now the problem is that i had a directory called “stock” in root folder where wordpress was installed , i deleted that folder and then i had a page in my website called “stock” so now wordpress seems to automatically make directory , i asked hostgator help he said it was script making the folder , i cannot seem to understand , i deleted it , renamed it , moved it , still it seems to recreate itself , is it a wordpress issue or cpanel issue
