WordPress and phpBB

I know this has been covered a million times but again: this is a genuine request.

I have a wordpress site and a phpbb forum and I wish to link the two so that there’s one sinlgle log-in.

I have used the single log-in plugin, I have tried wp-united and simplepress…

Is there anyone that used one of the above or something else that worked?
