• I had previously put v 2.0.1 in my hosting environment but hadn’t gone through the install wizard in wp-admin. I deleted all the old files and uploaded v 2.5.1. I made sure the DSN connection was correct. I went to the wp-admin directory and filled out the Blog Name and email address and hit Install WordPress. I then got the following error:

You appear to have already installed WordPress. To reinstall please clear your old database tables first.

I went to my phpMyAdmin and dropped all the tables in the database. Repeated the above steps and got the same error. I tried completely deleting the database and reinstalling it. Got the same error.

Please help. The blog can be viewed at blog.jadeinc.com.

    Thanks!

  • You have some strange things and redirects going on there. Why not put in a request at http://install4free.wordpress.net ?
There is a lot going on and I have a feeling it will be hard to diagnose thru a support forum thread.

    Having said that, I would:
Delete database and create a new one with a completely different name, user and pass.
Delete all wordpress files – get a new zip – re-install wordpress with new files. It looks as if some might be missing or corrupted.
