WordPress 3.9 Media Upload Issues

    Forum,

    I am having an issue that is beyond annoying, and I am not alone. I just cannot find a fix for the issue, though I have tried many from Googleing and searching this issue.

    When uploading images, I receive the following error message: “An error occurred in the upload. Please try again later.”

    What I have done so far:

    • Disabled all plugins.
    • Cleared my cache.
    • Set my permissions to 777
    • Contacted my host (Inmotion Hosting); they could not assist me.
    • Tried the 2012, 2013 and 2014 themes – same result.

    Most of the images I upload are around 1MB; I tried uploading an image that was 101KB and it worked.

    Any ideas?

    Turns out i had to re-upload WordPress files to get this to work. I downloaded a fresh copy of wordpress and uploaded everything (except the wp-content directory!!) and it all worked out fine.
