• I am trying to redesign my WooCommerce checkout page. The first step is to delete the WooCommerce short code.
When I edit the page I can see the title – but the short code appears to be hidden.
How can I “unhide” this so I can delete that shortcode and use the block editor to redesign the page.
    I am using Gutenberg 2.2.0

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • That seems like a very old version of Gutenberg (current is version 9.1.1) so you should probably update. That said I am not sure if this is a Gutenberg issue.

To edit the content of a page, even if a shortcode or text is hidden, then you can use the Code Editor.

    In the editor,

    • go to the 3 dots in the top right corner, open this menu
    • go to Code Editor

This will then show you all the code inside Gutenberg post content for the post or page you are on. This article walks your through the process with images.

Looking at your site, you are using Elementor and various other page builder software, so your edit screen may be different. If it is, you should ask your question in the Elementor forum, or even your Themes support forum, as this is an issue specific to those items of your site.
