I’m new in the topic of WordPress and WooCommerce and have no knowledge with coding. If you have a solution to my problem please give me a detailed step by step which I can follow easily. Thanks for your understanding.

I do have the newest version of WordPress. I hired a person who installed all my sites with WordPress in German. But as I’m using the site in English I wanted him to change it. He said it’s difficult as he has to delete WordPress and reinstall in English again.

Later I download WooCommerce and the amazon s3 storage plugin as I have my digital products over there. When I did the testing I found out, that the eMails are a mix of German but mostly English.

I don’t need urgently a site with multilingual but I want to have it in English. I tried to change the language within WordPress in English but then the shop isn’t working this way.

Where and how can I solve this problem?
Is there any settings or coding necessary in order to make it work?
Do I have to delete WordPress and download the English version? If yes, may I still change the language in German just for working in the Dashboard and then switch back to English?

Here is the link to my site. Right now the setting is in German and you can see that it works.

When the setting is in English and you click on a product then there is a error message which says that the site can’t be found or something like that.

    Thanks for your help.

    Cheers,
    Skye

  • Set the site language at:
Admin page > Settings > General Settings > Site Language drop-down
then click the “Update Translation” button.

You may get “page not found” errors. To fix these, go to:
Admin page > Settings > Permalinks
and click “Save Changes”, even if there are no changes.
