Not sure if this has anything to do with it – but are you set as the “admin” or “author” in the options?
another suggestion – try deleting the post, and “view blog”. then close and re-open browser?
yeah, theres only one login name, and its admin
if i delete the post and click “view blog” it still shows up
I am also having this EXTREMELY annoying issue. I upgraded to 2.3.1 hoping that it might resolve itself, however, it has not.
When managing pages, posts, comments, and categories, when you tell it to delete something it disappears from the screen, but on a reload it shows up again.
The DB user has full privileges, I’ve deleted the .htaccess file and updated the permalinks, I’m running WP 2.3.1, and I would change users except I cannot add a new user either (or category of any kind). I’ve also deactivated every plugin, and have tried different browsers with no luck.
Anyone have any idea what the issue might be?
I just got in touch with my host (I thought it may be a DB problem).
They said they were successfully able to create a new post and delete it.
I’m waiting a response…
Well, this looks like an older thread and I’m just now getting this problem of ‘cannot delete posts/categories/pages’ with WP 2.3.2.
I tried deactivating all the plugins and reactivating them one at a time to see if one of them may be the reason – no dice though.
So, the only way I can solve this issue right now is to, login to admin, log out, then log back in (do the login twice). After I’ve done that, everything deletes as normal and there are no issues. I wonder if it’s a cookie related issue.
