just to be clear; AO does not do page caching, Zencache does. I would advise against using AO without a page cache (plugin or reverse proxy) as else AO could in some circumstances make your site slower instead of faster.
regarding zencache; I have already seen other AO-users on ZC, so should work.

in the past i’ve found the 80/20 rule really applies to site-speed optimization, the harder your squeeze for those last bits of speed – the more likely you are to break something
