With or without W3 Total Cache?
-
Hi Till
I am just a beginner so this is probably a dumb question 🙂 but.. I just got a mail from my host, offering to use Redis. Currently I have WP Fastest Cache installed (https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-fastest-cache/) which doesn’t include an option for Redis. Does it make sense (or is it even compatible) to use both of them to cache? Or should I disable its caching option.
If I understand well, W3 Total Cache is the only popular one that actually supports Redis. Does Redis completely replace its caching task (only leaving the additional options of W3 Total Cache as a value), or do they both work together in synergy to cache?
PS: I haven’t installed it yet, but in my case it is free to use up to 4MB caching. This is kind of a guessing question, but is that a limit which is easily reached for a very small e-commerce?
Thank you so much for helping me understand.
Have a great day,
Tim
